Admissions Coordinator at Delamere

About Melissa

At Delamere, I am the first point of call for prospective guests and their family/support networks. I help to provide detailed information in a compassionate and empathetic manner on the therapeutic programme here at Delamere whilst supporting them to navigate a difficult time.

I have been working in the health and social care field since high school, in a variety of positions, including social housing, charitable organisations, and adult social care. I have supported individuals over the age of 18 to access health and social care, both funded and private for over 15 years. I have been working at Delamere for 14 months.

I have been living with anxiety and depression for many years and I am currently undergoing assessment for ADHD. I have accessed many mental health treatments including talking therapies, CBT, hypnotherapy, and holistic approaches for my own mental health. I believe this supports me in understanding some of the difficulties faced by our guests, as well as their support networks.

The favourite aspect of my role is providing a listening ear to individuals who are in a difficult time in their lives. Being able to offer a treatment method that I fully believe in and have witnessed improve the lives of so many guests is incredible to me.
