Delamere private drug rehab

Within our state-of-the-art rehab centre, guests will experience a blend of traditional and evidence-based therapies with more innovative treatments that are not available at other rehabs, to make their stay immersive and tailored to their individual needs.

Collectively at Delamere, our multidisciplinary team of medical professionals, therapists, and lived experience practitioners have more than 100 years of personal and professional experience in successfully treating addiction. United by the common goal of helping our guests get well, our Delamere team is passionate about seeing others grow from addiction.

At Delamere, we believe that addiction always comes from somewhere and that successful treatment is about so much more than simply stopping the drugs.

In our experience, addiction affects all aspects of your being so successful treatment needs to attend to the body, mind and spirit. Our approach focuses on attending the often complex and numerous issues underpinning a drug dependency through a range of holistic therapies including breathwork, yoga, equine therapy, mindfulness, meditation, art, and music, as well as four 1-1 counselling sessions a week and group therapies.

During a stay at the Delamere retreat, guests begin with a medically assisted drug detox to help alleviate withdrawal symptoms. After a successful physical detox, guests will address their psychological dependency with a mix of traditional and somatic therapies. Guests will learn how to navigate life after Delamere and find rehab aftercare services local to them to support their continued sobriety.

“The 28 days recovery I completed has changed my life and put a whole new perspective on my life and I can’t thank the lovely staff for all the support they provided me on my down days. Staff that you really do connect with and have respect for you. Highly recommended. Will always hold my journey in Delamere in my heart as it’s changed my whole outlook and perspective on my future.” – Jenna Keates, Former Delamere guest

Why is drug rehab important?

Drug addiction is a chronic and progressive disorder of the brain, without treatment, it always invariably gets worse, never better. Those who do not understand drug addiction as the illness it is, make the mistake of thinking that they can overcome the condition themselves without professional help. This can sadly all too often lead to the person losing their life to addiction.

Partaking in addiction treatment within a drug treatment rehab is not only life-saving but life-changing. We understand that the thought of drug rehab can be overwhelming; however, our experience at Delamere is that guests who enter our treatment programmes willingly enjoy their time with us

and experience a profound change in their thinking and behaviours. This happens as a direct result of the care, compassion, and evidence-based treatment that we deliver.

Delamere provides a safe and supportive environment to complete an assisted detox and drug rehab programme. Entering into group activities allows guests to meet others and take away any shame surrounding their addiction. This fosters a supportive community of Delamere guests who can open up to each other about shared experiences and help each other to grow from their addictions together.

“Trauma and addiction experiences are met with words that celebrate coping strategies. We use affirming language that celebrates past survival strategies and coping mechanisms. This helps clients to feel self-compassion and be connected to their own story.”

The Delamere approach to drug rehab

An inpatient stay at Delamere is a deliberately intensive 4-phase drug rehab programme, one which we have crafted over time and has helped many participants recover. Our emphasis is on holistic care to treat addiction and associated issues. This means that we treat the whole person rather than just the symptoms they present with. We believe that successful treatment runs far deeper than simply stopping the addictive substance or behaviour.

Our approach at Delamere comprises 4 core phases: Stop, Start, Grow, & Bloom. Everything we offer at Delamere aims at effective and lasting outcomes in addiction treatment:

  • Stop Icon
    Stage 1: Stop

This phase addresses any physical aspects of your addiction. Our medical team is on hand 24/7 to ensure a safe and effective withdrawal.

  • Start Icon
    Stage 2: Start

During ‘Start’ we help identify the psychological underpinnings of your dependency as you participate in a variety of addiction treatment therapies.

  • Grow Icon
    Stage 3: Grow

Our ‘Grow’ phase is the process of integrating the Delamere learning experience into life after treatment.

  • Bloom Icon (Use)
    Stage 4: Bloom

Our ‘Bloom’ phase offers intensive support on a weekly basis for the first three months of recovery once guests return home.

Encouraging a loved one to go to rehab for drugs

The ripple effect of drug addiction and its consequences affect not only the person with the problem but also those who surround and care for them. If you are looking to help someone you care for to admit themselves to a drug rehab, we’re here to help. It may be that the person in question is in denial about the extent of their problem and resisting professional help.

At Delamere, we provide family support services as well as intervention services whereby we help you to prepare and rehearse a formal intervention that will culminate in your loved one entering treatment with us. If you are considering organising an intervention for your loved one, friend, or colleague, contact Delamere today.

Frequently asked questions about drug rehab

How long does drug rehab at Delamere last?

As a general guideline, we recommend a minimum of 4 weeks of inpatient treatment, but shorter or longer stays can be arranged. We recognise that everyone responds differently to drug addiction treatment and there is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Overcoming a drug addiction is a lifelong commitment and you may require therapy for months or even years. Delamere develops a future-proof plan for all guests leaving our care as part of our Bloom stage as well as 12 months of free aftercare support to ensure lasting recovery.

If you’re unsure how long you might need, contact us today for a free and confidential assessment.

Do you treat prescription drug addictions at Delamere?

We know all too well how easy it is to become addicted to prescription drugs and how common it is to suffer from. Just because drugs are prescribed, doesn’t make them any less dangerous than illicit drugs when abused.

If you are worried about a codeine addiction, a co-codamol addiction, or any other prescription drug addictions, we can help. We provide both a full prescription drug detox and prescription drug rehab treatment to help you safely stop the addiction for good.
