Meet our clinical director
Delamere is delighted to welcome Mike Delaney, one of the UK’s leading authorities in addiction treatment, as Clinical Director.
Mike’s dynamic and person-centred approach has helped many clients recover from addiction over the last 40 years. He is established, unequivocally, as one of the most experienced and revered professionals in the field.
Mike joins founder Martin Preston and the operational team at Delamere, as they embark on pioneering an inspiring and effective approach to treating addiction and associated issues.

“Mike has fairly unique expertise in that he’s worked as a mental health nurse, addiction therapist, equine therapy facilitator and rehab clinic Chief Executive. Mike brings a breadth of operational and clinical expertise. We are delighted and privileged he’s part of our core team as he shares in our intention to take addiction residential care to the next level.” Martin Preston, Founder and Chief Executive
Over the next 6 months Mike will be helping to assemble a team of passionate and experienced sector professionals who share in the Delamere vision: ‘Exemplary care in first class facilities.’
“People are the heart and soul of what we do. Crafting the programme alongside Mike is hugely rewarding – we look forward to welcoming clients in October with a treatment programme that is not only distinctly different but crucially, hardwired to outcomes.”
We’ll share more news about our programme in the coming months. Meanwhile, why not follow the progress of Delamere – the UK’s first purpose built addiction treatment clinic here.
