Picking up the phone
Upon first getting through to the Delamere admissions team, they will ask you what has led to you picking up the phone.
The team will dedicate time to get to know you and your individual circumstances.
They will seek to understand more about your addiction and treatment needs, and recommend whether Delamere is a good fit for you.
Delamere recognises the importance of harnessing potential guests with as much information as possible, in order to support an informed decision around treatment.
The admissions team will help direct you to relevant resources, whether this be previous guest profiles or blog articles.
The team will ask you for contact information and let you know the next steps in the process. Following the call, an email or text will be sent to you linking to more information including FAQs, a video about the clinic and information about room rates.
Next steps
After the first phone call, conversations will continue in any form that you wish – this could be email, text or telephone. These can either be with the direct enquirer, or family and friends if that’s preferred.
At this stage, you can arrange to visit to Delamere, to see the environment, beautiful grounds and get to know a few of the friendly faces. After more communication, the team will arrange a pre-admission assessment.
Pre-admission assessment
This assessment will take place over the phone, and will take approximately 45 minutes between you and the admissions team.
The pre-admission assessment is to ensure that we can accept you into the clinic based on your treatment needs, as well as informing our care plan for your admission.
The assessment will help us build a holistic picture of your pattern of addiction, as well as any additional physical and mental health needs you may have. It will also inform us of your day-to-day routine, family and social life. This is to make sure that we can help you as much as possible.
Once you feel comfortable enough, the team will ask for your permission such that we can reach out confidentially to your GP to request a medical summary. This is done non-judgementally to ensure that we can take care of any other existing health issues you may have.
Clinical sign off
Following the pre-admission assessment and once the admissions team receives the GP summary, an overview will shared with Delamere’s medical team for review.
The multi-layered admissions process allows the whole Delamere team to be confident in our ability to provide you with the support and treatment that you require.
Confirming the admission
Once the team at Delamere has reviewed your assessment data and GP summary, you will be ready to book your admission into Delamere!
You will need to pay a deposit over the phone in order that we can confirm your admission date and begin preparing to welcome you.
Prior to admission
Before your arrival at Delamere, the admissions team will provide you with all of the necessary information to prepare you for your stay. In the days leading up to your admissions, you will receive a text confirming key logistics relating to your admission.
In addition, you will receive a check in call from a member of the admissions team, to go over any final questions ahead of your admission.
Admission
When you arrive at Delamere, you will be greeted by a nurse and a member of the guest liaison team who will show you directly to your room. This team is there to help you whenever you need.
Our main priority as you settle into Delamere is your comfort and safety. If you are well enough, your first few hours at the clinic will be spent going through a nursing assessment, the key expectations for your stay, paperwork and an initial orientation to site.
Every journey is different, so if you require additional support or have any questions you’d like to discuss prior to admission, the Delamere team is always happy to help.
We look forward to hearing from you soon.
Meet the team
Head of Admissions – Charlotte Lillie

I began working for Delamere in August 2024. Prior to this, I spent 12 years working in education, supporting children and families in both private and state funded environments.
My work in education exposed me to the emotion that rides on a family when making significant decisions for loved ones. As a result, I learnt the value of listening and the importance of taking the time to genuinely understand an individual’s needs.
This experience certainly set me in good stead for joining the admissions team at Delamere, where our aim is to seamlessly support guests through the admissions journey, recognising and supporting their physical and emotional requirements to ensure a well-informed and safe admission to Delamere’s programme.
Enquiries Manager – Alex Molyneux

I began my personal journey of helping others after battling addiction for many years. I have since been privileged to have helped over a thousand guests access treatment.
The reward of guiding guests and their families through what can be a difficult and traumatic period prior to treatment is observing the positive outcomes for the guests and their families post-treatment.
I have been on board at Delamere since our launch day in 2020 and I take pride in the work that we do and the outcomes that we all achieve.
Admissions Co-ordinator – Melissa Myatt

At Delamere, I am the first point of call for prospective guests and their family/support networks.
I help to provide detailed information in a compassionate and empathetic manner on the therapeutic programme here at Delamere whilst supporting them to navigate a difficult time.
Admissions Manager – Sara Buckley
Having recently joined the Delamere family I am looking forward to sharing my own passion and enthusiasm of recovery with our guests.
Being able to identify, empathise and assist guests with their recovery journey is an absolute privilege.
As a member of the Admissions team, I have the opportunity to personalise each guest’s journey into Delamere’s programme.
