“We recognise that seeking help with addiction is a huge step. Many of our team have lived experience of addiction and recovery; we’ve found this helps people find the courage to reach out for help.”
Painkiller Rehab
At Delamere, we provide comprehensive painkiller rehab programmes for those struggling with painkiller addiction. Our purpose-built private rehab clinic in rural Cheshire offers guests the ideal setting to stop an active addiction and enter into rehab for painkiller addiction.
Delamere painkiller addiction rehab
We take a holistic approach to addiction treatment, to allow for maximum change in a relatively short period of time. With the help of our dedicated multidisciplinary team, you will be nursed back to help and be given the tools to grow beyond addiction.
Unlike other painkiller rehab centres, at Delamere, we choose to consider the person as a whole and not just stop their addiction. It is our belief that only with this complete healing of the mind and body can a person truly grow beyond addiction and welcome lasting positive change.
For these reasons, we blend traditional 1-1 and group therapies with innovative holistic approaches to painkiller rehab. These include but are not limited to equine therapy, mindfulness, meditation, yoga, art therapy, music therapy, and breathwork.
During trauma sessions, guests typically uncover the reasons that led them to prescription drug addiction in the first place and are then given the tools to heal with holistic and somatic treatments, the impact of which we have found to be profound. Upon entering rehab for painkillers at Delamere, all guests are given a medical assessment where doctors will decide on the best course of treatment to suit their individual needs during a painkiller detox. During this time our 24-hour on-site nurses will ensure this process is as safe and comfortable as possible.
Following a successful physical detox from painkillers, you will enter phases 2 and 3 of our treatment model to address the psychological addiction and equip you for life outside Delamere. Phase 4 is when you bring recovery home and continue to be supported by us with weekly meetings on-site.

Why is painkiller rehab important?
Painkiller addiction rehab at Delamere offers a vital lifeline for those struggling with addiction and their families. Addiction is often shrouded in shame and guilt, this is something we aim to overcome at Delamere. During your stay at our retreat, you will enter into group therapies with other guests where you will share experiences and inevitably form connections because of this. We have found the fostering of a supportive community of friends who can turn to each other and remove feelings of isolation and shame.
Addiction is a progressive disorder and inaction can have severe consequences on the health and well-being of the addict themself and the people closest to them. Our rural Cheshire location allows guests the space away from daily life to focus completely on getting well in a safe and supportive environment.
The Delamere approach to painkiller rehab
An inpatient stay at Delamere is a deliberately intensive 4-phase painkiller addiction rehab programme, one which we have crafted over time and has helped many participants recover. Our emphasis is on holistic care to treat addiction and associated issues. This means that we treat the whole person rather than just the symptoms they present with. We believe that successful treatment runs far deeper than simply stopping the addictive substance or behaviour.
Our approach at Delamere comprises 4 core phases: Stop, Start, Grow, & Bloom. Everything we offer at Delamere aims at effective and lasting outcomes in addiction treatment:
How to encourage a loved one to go to rehab for painkiller addiction
We know from experience the isolation of having a loved one in denial about their addiction and refusing painkiller rehab. That is why at Delamere we offer comprehensive family support services and intervention services to help your loved one accept help and support you at this difficult time. It is important to remember that a loved one’s recovery is not seen as your fault but rather something they need to choose to do.
