Being caught in the grip of an OxyContin addiction can be an incredibly difficult and isolating experience. But no matter how far down this road you or someone you know has travelled, recovery is possible.
At Delamere, we believe in your potential for change. With our unique, compassionate, and personalised approach to recovery, we’re here to guide you towards a healthier and more fulfilling future.
OxyContin is prescribed to manage severe chronic pain. It is incredibly effective, but also highly addictive. Dependence can develop quickly and can spiral into a full-blown addiction, where the need for OxyContin overshadows everything else in your life.
Acknowledging this addiction is a courageous step. It’s normal to feel fear, uncertainty, and even guilt. But remember, you are more than your addiction. Our mission at Delamere is to help you see this truth and guide you towards your authentic self.
Located in the heart of the tranquil Delamere Forest, our centre offers a nurturing and safe environment for your recovery journey. Our facilities are specifically designed to enhance your comfort, with private en-suite rooms that offer a home away from home. We aim to create a sanctuary where you can focus on your recovery without the distractions and stresses of daily life.
We offer a medically supervised detox programme, 24/7 medical support, and a holistic, personalised treatment journey that not only aims to improve your physical health, but your mental health too.
If you want to know more about how we can help you finally overcome your OxyContin addiction and grow into the person you’ve always wanted to be, get in touch with the team today.
Recognising the signs of OxyContin addiction is a crucial first step towards recovery. Although symptoms can vary, common signs of addiction may include:
Regular use of OxyContin beyond prescribed doses
Inability to control or stop using OxyContin despite efforts
Neglecting responsibilities or hobbies due to OxyContin use
Consuming OxyContin despite negative consequences
Significant changes in behaviour or appearance
Difficulty sleeping or changes in eating habits
Severe mood swings, anxiety, or depression
Sudden financial difficulties
Addiction to OxyContin can lead to severe financial strain, relationship issues, and legal problems, not to mention the potential health risks associated with prolonged opioid abuse.
Physical symptoms may include nausea, excessive sweating, constipation, and respiratory problems, while the psychological effects can range from anxiety and depression to cognitive impairment and intense cravings for the drug.
Choosing rehab is a brave decision towards an existence where addiction doesn’t control your life. Delamere is not only a place to heal from your addiction – we also focus on helping you build a strong foundation for a brighter future. Our treatment programmes are built around you, your needs, and your journey to recovery.
You might be daunted by what lies ahead: the prospect of withdrawal, lifestyle changes, or perceived judgement from others. But we assure you that you can overcome these hurdles, like so many before you have done.
Picture the prospect of renewed health, mended relationships, regained financial freedom, and a daily life brimming with accomplishments. This vision is attainable, and rehab at Delamere is your stepping-stone to realising it. We go beyond merely aiding you in conquering addiction; we help lay the groundwork for the life you envision.
Here’s how rehab can change your life:
Physical rejuvenation: Rehabilitation revitalises your physical health, enhancing your vitality and general wellbeing.
Mental balance: Rehab tackles and mitigates the mental stress that comes with addiction. It offers the opportunity for improved mental health and a positive perspective on life.
Nurturing relationships: Rehab opens avenues for restoring fractured relationships and honing your interpersonal abilities, cultivating stronger, healthier ties with your loved ones.
Financial stability: Liberation from the financial shackles of addiction is a significant advantage of rehab.
Boosted self-confidence: One of the most transformative benefits of rehab is the renewed sense of self-esteem it instils, fuelling your journey towards a fulfilling life.

Your treatment programme will be made up of three structured phases to ensure we give you the best possible chance of a successful recovery in the short and long term.
Phase 1: Stop
The first phase of treatment will last for around 7 days and aims to move you away from dependency – with the help of a medically managed detox – stabilise your physical condition and help you feel as comfortable as possible at Delamere.
Phase 2: Start
Next, we’ll dig deeper into the psychological causes for your addiction, working together with an assigned therapist for approximately two weeks as you find new, powerful tools for managing the root causes of your dependency long into the future.
Phase 3: Grow
Finally, the ‘Grow’ phase focuses on helping you rebuild your life, heal relationships and ensure that you have all the support you need from the team at Delamere so you feel comfortable moving on from our facility with confidence and excitement for the future.
We recognise that starting on the path towards recovery can be challenging. You may have worries that seem like towering obstacles – fears about withdrawal symptoms, anxieties about the length of stay, concerns over privacy, or the perceived stigma attached to rehab.
At Delamere, we want to reassure you:
We manage withdrawal symptoms with expert medical supervision during the detox process, ensuring your safety and comfort.
Our treatment plans are not rigid – they are personalised to suit your unique circumstances and recovery pace.
We respect your privacy and uphold strict confidentiality standards throughout your stay and beyond.
We actively cultivate a judgement-free, inclusive environment that encourages acceptance and fosters self-confidence.
