What’s Involved in an Alcohol Detox at Delamere?

Our experienced team of in-house therapists have developed the unique Delamere Difference treatment model to help you break the cycle of alcohol use and grow beyond addiction.

We’ve helped many guests who have become physically dependent on alcohol and other substances. We understand that this can lead to real anxiety when starting addiction treatment. That’s why our treatment programme and environment our designed to be welcoming, empathic, and compassionate.

The initial phase of our programme ‘Stop’ starts with some light therapeutic work while you undergo your detox, which helps you settle in and connect. This introductory work is carried out in interactive groups, during which we get to know you and what’s brought you into treatment.

Our Alcohol Detox Aftercare Services

When you choose Delamere for alcohol detox and addiction treatment, our support doesn’t simply end when you leave us.

We offer 15 months of aftercare support with our specialist team of therapists and counsellors.

This includes 12 weekly meetings in small groups to help you navigate the first 3 months of recovery after you return home. Our bespoke aftercare syllabus is specifically designed to help you transition back into everyday life after a stay with us.

The aftercare services offered at Delamere allow many people to stay in touch with their fellow guests. This has helped Delamere guests create a community supporting each other in recovery long after treatment with us.
